Teach your students the first steps in becoming a game designer by creating an interactive two player game using ‘Scratch’.
Teachers will be led by experts from ACMI via Zoom videoconferencing. The ACMI staff will be teaching Scratch, a free visual programming language that is fun and accessible for budding computer scientists.
Scratch was developed to help simplify the process of creating and programming animations, games, music, interactive stories and more. Using a system of colour coding for the program's different building blocks, the code becomes like puzzle pieces.
This workshop is presented as part of the Code Breakers: Women in Games exhibition, on loan from ACMI, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
